This is a modified flare gun with a longer barrel and some kind of iron sight on the back. (Not that there's aiming in TF2 anyway.) This little beaut does 23 damage normally, doing 30 on a minicrit and 69 (kappa) on a crit. I thought of a steam-thrower that uses boiling hot steam to scald victims. It has no afterburn, but it wets enemies and its airblast also uses steam, so it deals a small bit of damage itself. It can also wash Jarate and Mad Milk off teammates as well as clear away afterburn with both primary and secondary fire. My favorite Pyro loadout is the stock flamethrower, reserve shooter, powerjack. The reserve shooter is mainly for weapon switching without losing damage on your flamethrower. The phlog is a terrible weapon that gets you destroyed at higher levels of play, encourages stupid play, and rewards idiots.It allows a pyro to effectively swap to and fro. It offers 60% faster deploy speed, 30% faster holster speed, with 66% penalty to afterburn, and an extra cost of 5 ammo per airblast. While it's not exactly formidable on it's own, combined with our next two weapons, this thing is a doozy.
