2021 RAV4 Hybrid XSE with 33k miles. Holding up just fine in this weird east coast weather. Asides from routine maintenance I haven’t had any issues whatsoever. I average between 34-38MPG with highway and city driving in the cold weather but asides from that… all is well and functioning! true. Family of 4, daughters are 12 and 9. We came from a minivan to our RAV so there was a slight change for everyone due to reduce space. We now pack less for everyday use, but we are ok with that. We’ll be taking our RAV and popup trailer for a month long road trip from WA -> OR -> ID -> WY -> SD -> MN -> ND -> MT -> ID -> WA. Aug 24, 2021 ... The Toyota RAV4 is a terrific car that doesn't seem to fit into any one category. Is it a crossover? Wagon? SUV? All of the above? The RAV4 is the best selling SUV consistently selling 500,000 a year. Meanwhile, the CX-5 only sells around 100,000 a year. The RAV4 is better in many ways such as hybrid, reliability, dependability, build quality, interior space including head and leg room, cargo space, overall performance.The RAV4 interior is a lot more "basic" than the CR-V. It's well done and it looks decent, but it's far from the luxury look of the CR-V. It has more space inside, at least visually speaking, I didn't measure anything. The visibility is much better and the transmission is so, so much better than the Honda.

The Venza is better looking, has the really cool panoramic roof with push button frost feature (something really unique for this segment), and the AWD system is able to put 80% of the power to the rear wheels which is great - the Rav4 can only do 50/50. The Venza looks better but has less space.

RX350h >> RAV4 I like the RAV4 hybrid. I think it's a great car but the RX is so much more nicer. Especially if you're going to have it for 10 years, might as well have it a nicer 10 years.
