The KMEA State Marching Band Championship is 37 years old. There have been 662 performances in state finals. There have been 161 state championship winners. 90 schools have performed in finals competition. 71 schools have been in finals more than once. 22 schools have been in finals 10 or more times. 9 schools have been in finals 20 or more times.Music for All venues will follow a universal clear bag policy in 2023. This applies to any person using spectator gates at an event (including students and staff before and after performances), including situations in which the band re-entry gate is the same as the spectator gate.
