I read a lot of broken hinges on almost any kind of laptop, yet never saw a broken hinge in real life. I guess people open their laptop in different ways. Check if you always grab the screen on the same side to push it upwards. That may lead to more mechanical stress for the display and hinges. I always open my laptop's carefully using both hands.

I followed this video and was able to "fix" the issue. The funny thing is I first went to a repair shop and they estimated it'd cost me 200-300 bucks!
