The problem is over time you have to tighten the old gasket just a little bit more each time because the aluminum gasket no longer "crushes" to form a good seal. Each time you tighten the drain plug ...Place the oil pan under here and remove the bolt and the oil will drain out. I recommend running the atv for 5-10 minutes prior to draining to let the oil warm up. It will drain better this way. Next, open the oil filter compartment and replace the oil filter. Be sure the old oil filter o-ring is intact.

I just changed the final gear oil on my bayou 220, the manual calls for .21 qt or 200 ml which does not seem like very much for that size gearbox. I went ahead and added 1/2 quart, which makes it where I can just see it. I am used to adding gear oil to the gearbox is full on other models.
