I cut a patch and tack it in place. Then fill and smooth the joint. Fit the other mirror, drill and set riva-nuts for mounting.

2017+ Towing mirrors. I’ve seen this hit on only once or twice from what I’ve been able to search so far. I recently purchased my second excursion (2004 6.0 solid black Limited). On my 2002 I owned previously I put the 08-16 style mirrors and they were fine but I never felt like they really “fit” the truck from a looks perspective.

There is NO NEED to loose the wing window with the Dodge mirrors. They function as they normally do. i guess if you consider blocking off the air supply for them when opened (front of hinges like shown in the pics of red truck) then yea, guess youre right. they might open, but they dont function as they normally do.
