It's a box-like elevated hunting blind that will keep you concealed from easy sight. This DIY 6x5 deer hunting blind is easy to build but requires a little bit of lumber and hardware. Building the Frame. To start building the frame of your hunting blind, dig four holes that are about 2 feet deep. Place the wooden posts in each hole and securely pack the soil around them. Make sure the posts are evenly spaced and level. Next, attach the PVC pipes or metal conduit to the top of each post, creating a rectangular frame.Cut the plates and the studs from 2×4 lumber. Drill pilot holes through the plates and insert 2 1/2″ screws into the studs. Place the studs equally spaced, every 16″ on center. As you can notice in the plans, you have to frame the window opening. Moreover, double the studs placed at both ends of the wall.
