I can't help you if you think 20 or so secs is too slow for you for loading a save game. It might be faster in the full release, but I don't think so. Nothing wrong with your system. The HDD being external is bottlenecking your asset load times to USB speed. If you have it on an internal SSD, this will improve your experience immensely. It is kind of a requirement to run games on SSD in 2023. It is not a hard requirement yet, but if you don't want issues like this you have no other choice really.

I just clocked it at 1:40 to fully launch starting from DX11 from Larian Launcher. Re-loading saved games takes about a minute. Seems to be a launcher issue. Makes the game basically unplayable.
