With the acquisition from AMC Networks, improvements to the HIDIVE app and related issues are in the works. You will see when updates become available via the app and in app stores.So, no, you're not doing anything wrong. The app just sucks and hasn't been given a substantial update in like 10 years. It keeps track on the website, not so much with the apps. I found it more or less works on Fire stick, but Fire stick sucks.
