1 Answer. I take it you mean when you pull on the handle it will not open. If the handle is loose, like nothing connected, then the plastic latch mechanism is broken leading from the handle to the lock. Jul 29, 2016 · If you can't get it open by pulling the handle and pulling on the door, you will need to remove the inner door trim panel with the door closed then operate the latch manually, possibly requiring a good soaking of the latch with WD40 or PB blaster or other penetrant/lube.
