Am considering the purchase of either a Colt 22 Caliber King Cobra or a Ruger GP100 in 22 Caliber. Both hold 10 cartridges but the King Cobra does NOT have recesses in the cylinder to accommodate the rim of the cartridge while the Ruger does. Would appreciate any and all comments from TFF members about both revolvers; good or bad.

Well, I ended up going with the Hogue Rubber grips for both the Python and King Cobra. Since my 6" Python is a post-2020 model, I used the Hogue Rubber Monogrip (SKU # 46000). This grip is an open-backed rubber grip and fits perfectly using the original Python grip's stirrup pin and the included hardware with the Hogue rubber grip (stirrup and screw).It's even beefier than my GP-100. I do not see any world where the 6" Python is a viable carry gun for most users. That said, it's not like the King Cobra Target is going to fall apart. I've said this before around here, but the KCT is actually a better replacement for the 4" Diamondback of old as opposed to the King Cobra of old.
