To up the distance you are expecting your console or PC to be running a full server and the game. You need a really decent PC to be able to do that so you could run a full dedicated. Indeed, the option of augmenting the distance from wich a player can be away from the host on a non dedicated or co op server is not working on ARK Survival Ascended. The problem : In the setting, the options of tether distance does show up and you can slide it to augment or change the number however it doesnt translate the change in the game.
