38 weeks and 2 cm dilated.

Hi, I am 35 weeks, almost 36 but have been on bedrest since 33 weeks for preterm labor. I was 1 1/2 cm dilated at 33 weeks now I am 2 cm dilated. I also had a Fetal Fibronectin Test and Mine was positive. I still have not had the baby. I go tomorrow for another check. Last week I had contractions 3-6 min apart but they stopped.When i was 36 weeks i had to be induced to preeclampsia and it made me 2cm dilated. for unnessary reasons they sent me home after inducing mw for two days. came back 5 days later to get induced again and was still 2cm. 1 or 2 cm dont really mean anything 4 or 5 does. it just means your bodys preparing for baby! have fun and good luck!I am 38 weeks tomorrow and just had my first membrane sweep for this pregnancy today! Finally induced at 39 weeks because I was effaced head engaged and almost 6cm but no labor signs. I worked 40 hours a week 3rd shift up until the night I delivered (I'm a nurse).Hey ladies,Just had my 38 week appointment and doctor said I am 1 cm dilated but my cervix is still thick. He says I won't go into labour anytime soon but the head is very low. He wasn't able to do the sweep like we had talked about. I'm discouraged....I was 4 cm at 36 weeks and made it to 38 weeks (and could have made it longer probably). I was actually 2 cm, 80% effaced at 26 weeks. I was put on bed rest until 36 weeks, so the situation was a little different. But even without bed rest after 36 weeks (and already 4 cm dilated), I made it another 2 weeks.
