Last point, no a driver should not be scamming a customer trying to pose as Doordash support to get a bigger tip. The driver should have declined the trip if it did not pay well enough. Asking or demanding tips is just bad manners. He definitely shouldn't have been calling back after you complained about him either.

If an order is cancelled by DoorDash or the customer, the order will simply disappear from your screen. If the customer wants to cancel an order, they have to call support not the driver. Most of the time (not all the time, but most) they do the scam on Saturday and Sunday since DoorDash starts the direct deposit process on Sunday night at 12 am. The scam, simply put, is that the customer picks up their own delivery order. The customer orders a delivery through door dash right outside the restraunt and puts a $0 tip so no actual drivers will pick up the order too quickly. When the order is ready, they either pose as a driver or pose as a self pick-up to get their food.

As I documented in another thread, this is 100% a scam. The scammers appear to be following a script, including claiming that the order is fraudulent or that the card used was fraudulent. NEVER NEVER NEVER GIVE OUT YOUR PASSWORD. Any request via text for any of your account information is probably a scam.
