It was mostly nerfed due to the insane range and still does most of its original effect within the actual slashing range of the blade. I use bloody slash on a nagakiba but I don't use it a lot.

Both are good enough imo, naga has more range but stick with what you like the most. I think the difference is like +6 ot 7 damage. Nagakiba is superior due to it's longer reach.
