At best, you could unplug the belt retractor and plug the resistor into the connector/wire from the airbag control unit. If the wiring from the airbag controller to (and from) that connector was good, then the SRS light (or fault code) would go away. (may require a couple of engine starting cycles, with the key removed in-between).
