Solasta is really surprising and confusing me. I found the game a few weeks back in the game pass and while i was installing it, i was looking into some youtube "reviews". While the gameplay looked great, the writing felt kind of meh. And most negative reviews were pointing on that. But when it comes to discuss crpgs in general, the most vocal ...

Solasta is a fully released indie game. Meaning it's main story is completely playable. BG3 is a triple A game but it's still early access, meaning it might have more content but you won't see the resolution of basically all you can do. Bg3 is milea beyond solasta in terms of story telling and freedom. i went for a different pick for survival monk: Dwarf. since you need con for the 11th level feature, +2 really helps. for sub race, either snow or hill will work. Snow gets +1 dex, and the heavy crossbow proficiency is nice for a back up option at longer ranges. Hill gets +1 wis, and the extra hp per level is nice and builds into the theme.

This is a scientific fact. Solasta: Crown of the Magister succeeds in large part in recreating the tabletop experience of a fifth-edition adventure. Currently in Solasta, the level 10 Fighter extra fighting style overrides the first chosen fighting style, so I actually beat the game with my Spellblade at level 9 instead of level 10 – as the build doesn’t work without Two Weapon Fighting. However, once that bug is fixed, I recommend getting Defense for extra AC on top of TWF. Conclusion Control works fine when you're triggering multiple saves per action (AoE control or upcasting single target) or targeting a weak save (like charisma for banish). Ranger is a solid all-rounder in Solasta. In combat, the class focuses on bows or dual-wielding, casting Hunter’s Mark at the start of the battle and recasting it whenever his main target dies. This play style is very efficient and makes ranger’s arguably the best source of sustained damage in the game, but it can also be seen as boring. When the federal government seeks to borrow money, it can do so by issuing 10-year Treasury notes. Solasta is by far one of the closest interpretations of D&D 5e rules you can get in a CRPG. The story is light, but they also included a dungeon maker which allows you to put your own story with some time.
