Sorcerers and wizards are also great Gold Dragons. If the shifter class (that focuses on natural weapons) will be added to Pathfinder WotR in a future DLC, there will also be a good martial option.
As usual, I'm suffering from character restart syndrome (CRS) The Barb's pet is certainly an advantage. Fighters can dish out a ton of damage. Don't really know too much about Kineticist, but they look fun. Any thoughts regarding the viability of those three on a modified Core setting are appreciated. Assume single class. If your making a merc, I would highly suggest a thundercaller bard. It is the most OP class in the game. You get near limitless AoEs that deal sonic damage without a saving throw (for the damage).
