The result was a bad crank position sensor!! It's a $25 part and was replaced within 1.5 hours!! No more stalling or lights on my dash!

They turned them off in under 5 minutes, it was free and i didn't have to wait. they did it right away. San Diego California, Deadhorse Alaska, Miami Florida, and New York.Turn off the engine. Well the first thing you will need to do is have the truck scanned for codes. Most likely when you disconnected the battery you cleared the G-Sensor and Steering Angle sensor calibrations. So they will both need to be reset.

I've purchased a 2005 xterra, GREAT vehicle. Since I've had it [purchased 12/2005] the 'VDC oFF' & 'SLIP' indicator lights have came ON and stayed ON until Reset by procedure in manual. Took it to the dealer, they 'reset' the code/module. Not even a week later, the lights are back on. It's a bit annoying - not even 2000 miles on it yet.

They topped it off and the lights have not come back. They also said they would order a new master cylinder because it is leaking, however I see no signs of leakage.Disconnect the negative battery cable. Put the original Brake switch back in. Then after 15 mins of the negative battery being left off, then connect and see if that clears it up. Ask Your Own Nissan Question. Tried disconnecting the battery, the whole drive straight thing, brake pads, rotors, fluid has all been done recently. Starter, battery, alternator all tested good, starts and runs just fine as if the lights weren’t on. Tran fluid is good, 4WD works.
