The top rail on the virtus is longer, so the upper receivers and handguards aren't interchangeable. I've heard someone say that the bolt on the rattler is a little shorter, but I'm not so sure that's actually the case. The lowers are identical. For clarity, I know it's a Virtus and not a Rattler.

The SR-15 is an evolved AR-15 with some downsides. The major advantage the SR-15 has over the MCX is that it is much lighter and the rail is very solid and holds zero across the entire length. The weight reduction is the biggest pro for me. The reason the Virtus has a special trigger is because the hammer interfaces with the firing pin latch on the Virtus upper a certain way. So you need an MCX trigger with a Virtus upper. Not sure what aftermarket Virtus accessories are available that won't also fit the Spear...
