Feb 8, 2023 · I have a 2015 Kia Soul base model with 276,000 miles. I swapped the engine at 225,000 miles with a used one that had 89,000, so the engine now has about 140,000 miles. As the title says, I have a rough idle (fluctuates between low and high RPMs, car shakes, but never stalls). Odd thing is that it goes away if I turn the vehicle on and off.
Basically, the car is so quiet when idle you can't hear it running. I just had an oil change, rotation, check bolts, lube doors, check both air filters, 29 point inspection, etc at 10k miles at a well known service center, even had them install the KIA oil filter for me.
