I'm using O'Reilly's MasterPro brand 75w-90 full synthetic GL-5 gear oil in the transfer case of a 2017 Honda Pilot Elite AWD with ZF 9-speed. It's close enough to spec and having new fluid in there is better than old Honda HGO-1 fluid. Drain and fill is less than half a bottle so it's cheap and easy to change every 3 years.

Apparently the t-case has its own fluid separate from the transmission. I had to take it the dealer twice before they fixed it.
