Cruze 2.0 Turbo Diesel making HUGE engine noise. Hi Everyone! I have a 2009 Holden Cruze, 2.0 Turbo Diesel. Yesterday a flashing DPF light appeared. I did the Regen, drove 50km at 3,200rpm, some more accelerated, and the warning light went out. After arriving home, when I was parking, I noticed that the engine was making a very loud noise!

I have a 2017 Chevy Cruze that’s a 1.6L so it’s diesel. It is having problems like transmission loosing 5th-9th gear and check engine like on for either pressure control solenoid or a sensor. Plus to make it better I’m the only person that owns one around here.So what happens on your diesel is that the the DEF's effectiveness is measured via a pre and post catalyst NoX sensor. Now there apparently is a test procedure that GM uses (still trying to find out more about it) which will evaluate the DEF injector and the NoX sensors. A hella surreal diesel Cruze. I was finally able to mess with it some more and did get a manual regen however it didnt change anything. I found the PID saying that the engine power is currently reduced however i dont know what for. The only other alarming thing i found was the particulate matter sensor reading 18000 F!
