With any AK pattern 7.62x39 gun you usually have to buy a magazine with a bolt hold open feature. 7.62x39 ACE does not have this feature. On some AKs the ridges on the trigger hammer can be a sort of bolt hold open but sadly the 7.62x39 ace has no such feature. I know Yugo pattern mags have bolt hold open features but once the mag is taken out ...It can be added to the Gen 1, everything else I have found pointless. With the lightest AR stock (B5 CAR15 replica) and Occam Defense sights the Gen 2 still is 2 ounces heavier than the Gen 1. Magpul stock that came with the Gen 2 added 3 or 4 ounces if I recall. May 4, 2021 · This gen 2 abomination may have a nicer safety and trigger, but you don't really have a free float barrel when you have an AK action. It was already very accurate for an AK variant. If you didn't like the polymer lower, cut it yourself or go with a KNS delete kit. If you wanted a longer handguard, go with RSR or MWI. Hey all - Gen 2 5.56 ace Installing the trigger pin makes the trigger super hand to pull and will not reset. No issue with the 4mm punch through the trigger pin, only with the trigger pin. Lubed the pins and the assembly, not sure what is making the pull so difficult. Asking here before I dremel something lol.
