The hand stippled grip of the Gen1 feels good in hand, though I actually find the Gen2 grip more comfortable in hand. Just going to be personal preference as far as feel goes. Have you noticed a difference in shooting between the recoil system and barrel size (4.15 vs 4.45)? villdetwink. Share.

BUT, that refers to a Gen1 Staccato P, the Gen 2 is a different gun. As soon as I saw the Gen2 Staccato P, I ran out and bought a second Staccato P Gen1 before they dried up.

This rugged, compact profile magwell is machined out of solid aircraft aluminum. It really improves the opening to enable faster reloads. Works best with Staccato / Dawson Gen 2 base pads; Will not work with factory magazine basepads supplied with Staccato P/ P DUO pistols. Base pad must have a taper on top to work. The Staccato P DPO is slightly larger than an M&P but smaller than other 1911 pistols. It has a Dawson toolless guide rod with 13lb recoil springs. Coming out of the box it has three stainless steel double stack magazines. It has been designed to keep the magazines from being inserted too far and causing issues that way.

It had the tree bark grip which the Staccato rep said meant that it couldn't take the the newer generation of grips.
