Dec 8, 2015 · I would still call you a pre-vet. You're pre-vet until you start vet school. The years within a program there's some wiggle room, but I wouldn't call you a college freshman if you hadn't yet started college either. But I don't particularly care what your SDN status says. While I don't know anything specifically about NC State, I do know that, just because you get into vet school, it doesn't mean you are guaranteed to get your DVM. UPEI and Dal (previously NSAC) both have pre vet programs. I went to Dal and I loved it. They have farm animals on sight that are used frequently for classes. It's a small town which I preferred. Just a note though about gaining residency. You can't gain residency while you're in undergrad.I guess pre-vet life/applying to vet school is the most extreme experience some people have and the waiting, rejection, and acceptance overload is hard for some people to handle. I applied this cycle with the rest, but holy bananas... some people just need to take a chill pill and friggin breathe.

Actually read the books they make you in high school (Great Gatsby & Fahrenheit 451 continue to be two of my favorite books). The more you read, the better your vocabulary will become to be and that’ll help for the GRE. But please please please don’t stress about what to read to be a good pre-vet student so you can be a good vet student.
